After a week in Savu Savu with strong winds and
some heavy rain we moved to Couteau yesterday and sailed this morning .
Sailed out through the pass but then no wind and flat calm so motor on a smooth
shiny sea arriving here at 1600 hrs . Makrogai was badly hit by cyclone Winston
and the village we visited 2 years ago destroyed . The tops
are off most of the palms and the buildings have gone . There are 8 yachts in
the bay all part of the Sea Mercy effort . WE will see if we can help in the
morning , otherwise sail on to Ovalau .
