What a difference in 24 hrs.The towering cumulus thunder clouds and the marching horsemen were receding into the northeast at dawn leaving a smooth sea with a large undlating swell and 5knt of wind.I had decided last evening when the wind first disappeared to use some o9f the diesel which I have been carrying around the world and have  some sleep before dealing with Papeete tomorrow. So with engine ticking over and radar giving me a 12 nm protection zone I slept for 12 hrs and feel wonderful today.
This is the first time that I have seen the Pacific swell .It is gentle and impressive like a slumbering giant.140 nm to go so expect to arrive Papette after breakfast tomorrow.
