The strong winds which kept us in the marina over the weekend settled yesterday and we sailed for Prony  before we start looking for suitable weather for New Zealand next week onward . We took the oportunity of internet to book hotel and buses for our return to UK . Luckilly with the state of the British economy and weak pound we have already booked flights home .
The sail to canal du Wooden was a dead beat in 8knt of wind . We managed to hold a respectable 4knt and made the 20nm passage undr sail . The wind headed us in the Canal and so we motored the last few miles to tie to a mooring in late afternoon . Only two other boats here although another has just arrived .There where fires ashore last night and this morning it appears thee is a small team of groundsmen tidying up with strimmers . We dont hear them. Loceeelly day with smooth clear water . Fish swimming beneath us .
