The final day of sailing was without wind . The anticipated northerlies did not materialize so we ended up motoring the last few miles . Still the crossing in 7 days 14hrs was very fast. Highlight of the final day was a school of pilot whales which crossed our track . As they were approaching from starboard I naturally gave precedence to them .Lovely placid animals .

Customs and immigration was easy and then it was up river to Riverside marina in Whangarie were we were welcomed as old friends.

the new boiler is here but fitting was interrupted by missing connections that are presumably still in Tonga
