The forcasts at last seem right. The tropical low moving east of New Zealand stays east and a high builds to the west during next week .We plan to sail tomorrow so much to do today .Some washing and a bit of last minute shopping . When we clear customs we apparently have to get on the boat and leave.
We are heading 1200nm northeast for Neiafu in Tonga . At first we will try to make some easting in expectation of strong south easterly trade winds later on . A good passage time will be 12 days .An advantage is that it should get warmer as we head north . although the days here are warm the evenings are very cold especially with the clear skies we have been enjoying recently
