Arrived at Madeira after a very quick 30 mile crossing from Porto Santo – didn’t see any wildlife (whales, dolphins etc.), as we had quite a big sea, and we were determined to catch up with a Dutch boat that had left before us, obviously heading the same way.   Well we overtook it and barrelled along in a Force 6 gusting 7’s – absolutely perfect sailing, and Talulah surfed and sliced through the waves, often giving us a fright at the turn of speed!

Got to Quinto do Lourde in the east of Madeira and ‘parked up’ in a marina berth.   The staff here is really friendly, and nothing is too much trouble.   Flaked out on deck in the sun with a couple of drinks and are now planning our trip around the island by car tomorrow.
