ie the furthest north I have been since Gaviota was in
Barcelona .... and the furthest east she has ever been!
The anchorage near the entrance to Mahon harbour was good if
crowded, simply because anywhere else in the harb our cost a minimum of euro76-
per night... which after finding out the hard way whenever I needed to go into
town I came alongside right at the end of the fishermans quay - and no one ever
complained or asked me for money!
Not a lot of wind round here so got used to slow sailing most
of the time, and as the forecast says wind from the north and up to twenty knots
(one day only!) I will leave tomorrow tues 28th august - after being around
these parts for about 3 months.
