We have been quiet lately, partly because we have been busy but mainly because there has been little to say.

For the last few days we have been sailing into brisk headwinds, usually of between 25 and 30 knots.  It is uncomfortable and tiring.  Then, we are not rushing pell mell towards our goal as we should like but working hard to keep our speed down so that we don’t get to the Agulhas current off Richards Bay too early.  There is a strong blow from the south-west forecast for Saturday and we are advised to sit it out offshore and be ready to take immediate advantage of a brief spell of quiet weather that should follow.  No big problem but we have to work hard to keep perky.

We shall all be glad to be in harbour, we hope on Sunday, with more time and the inclination to devote to our correspondence.
