From England to
Perth
Looking over
Perth from Kings Park and the Botanic Gardens.

We spent
Christmas with Sue and Ross from Y-Not and met their delightful
family.
Sue and Ross's
new property which is an unusual style for the area (a Queenslander). It
suits them perfectly.
On a trip out
to catch crayfish we were amused by this scarecrow, but he works as can be
seen from the invasion on the next door boat.
Our
catch of the day.
Just part of
the bush, two "black boys" more correctly called grass trees stand
proudly in the foreground.
Flora of the
area; Western Australian Christmas Trees.
On to
Melbourne
View of
Melbourne from the South Bank.
Flinders Street Station is
among Melbourne's most recognisable landmarks.
I felt this
pavement artist deserved a photo.
We took
a coach trip out to the Dandenong Mountains. The park is particularly
well known for its spectacular Mountain Ash forests and fern gullies as well as
for the birds.
1. A Crimson
Rosella 2. A Sulphur-crested Cockatoo 3. An Australian King
Parrot
Not all tours
go smoothly and ours had the complication of a tree falling across the
road very shortly before our arrival. It added some excitement
to the trip as well as several extra miles in the
coach.
