=========

We spent Christmas with Sue and Ross from Y-Not and met their delightful family.

Newly bought house

Sue and Ross's new property which is an unusual style for the area (a Queenslander).  It suits them perfectly.

A scarecrow on a boat?Aah! No scarecrow and see what you get.

On a trip out to catch crayfish we were amused by this scarecrow, but he works as can be seen from the invasion on the next door boat.

Catch of the day.

Our catch of the day.

Grass trees, known colloquially as Black Boys.

Just part of the bush, two "black boys" more correctly called grass trees stand proudly in the foreground.

Flinders Street Station, Melbourne

Flinders Street Station is among Melbourne's most recognisable landmarks.

A splendid picture.

I felt this pavement artist deserved a photo.

Off to the Dandenongs

We took a coach trip out to the Dandenong Mountains.  The park is particularly well known for its spectacular Mountain Ash forests and fern gullies as well as for the birds.

Hindered by a fallen tree

Not all tours go smoothly and ours had the complication of a tree falling across the road very shortly before our arrival.  It added some excitement to the trip as well as several extra miles in the coach.
