Yesterday was a bit of a grey drizzly one as a front went through, but that dankness was relieved by several schools of dolphins  which have been coming to play, by the sighting of our first ship in days and also by Christmas cake!
We used the engine for a few hours overnight then Louise found the wind again, so back to sailing......lots of reefs in and out and tacks and gybes going on as the weather systems swirl about, but at least we have wind and are clocking off the miles.
What is the purpose of Portugese Men of War other than to up[set children on beaches?! Lots of them about and they need a predator out here, maybe dolphins find them tasty.
Ollie’s chemistry challenge today is to determining whether the bilge water tastes salty or fresh – i think fresh which is not ideal as suggests a tank/container link somewhere but no obvious signs. There is always a mystery of some sort on a boat!
