A hot sunny day today, winds reduced a bit to 15-20 knots which enabled us to get the furling line sorted, with sufficient line back on thee we drum to fully furl the sail. We have lost some ground this week through not being able to use this sail.
At one stage today , before we sorted the furling, we had the storm jib poled out to try and get extra speed to close on ELLA which we can see on our AIS.
Supper is on the go now and we are discussing sail plan for the night as we can see the squall clouds forming to attack us in the night. I got absolutely drenched in one early evening yesterday, then we were all on deck in the early hours for a urgent reefing.
