Standing on the shoulders of giants
Ollie and I think we filled our crew duties pretty well – we were always on time for our watches, Ollie was really good at sharpening the pencils on his night watches, and I cooked soup in a storm - but we stand on the shoulders of the crew giants that came before us on the Atlantic circuit. We have many ingenious Raven additions that we need to compliment though are sure there are more: Top place definitely goes to Bilal for the automatic red light in the heads/loo. This is the best thing ever. We also love the custom screen you created on the nav instruments, we have named it “Bilal Mode”. Hopefully the instruments will be working again soon to bring it back to action! A close second is the ingenious can crusher that was invented by Graham, and we have named “The Davenport Destroyer”. Graham also needs to be thanked for the washing up bowl and fruit hammock inventions. James – we thank you for the sour Skittles, although fortunaterly we still have not touched any of the cans of “emergency meat”. Lucie – thank you for introducing Dob to the concept of taking a photo of instruments rather than having to bob up and down when writing the log. An excellent process improvement! And last but certainly not least, Alison – thank you for the perfumed loo bags!! |
