2 wheels on Mars

RAVEN - Atlantic Circuit 2021-22

The timing was not ideal as it was pretty windy and it actually rained( hence the grimace in the selfie) on both days for the first time since I have been in Lanzarote, but at least it was a bit cooler for cycling!
Today’s route was through the Timanfaya National Park, the area of the island which had the most recent volcanic eruptions in 1730s. Amazing landscape, often likened to Mars if anyone has been there, with lichens the only vegetation in many parts as nature starts- very slowly- to recolonise the lava fields.
The wind was local ! - grown outside the national park which is very well preserved.
