We had a 90 mile passage today, so in order to arrive at a reasonable time in the evening we had an early departure at 5am.
Jon and I had agreed to be kind to the others and leave them in bed for the departure , though at the time of our kind offer we had not appreciated that the heavens would open shortly before 5! By the time we had hoisted the dinghy on deck and then the sails we were well and truly soaked. It was another poled out genoa day until about 2pm when the wind started dying ( not sure if it is because we are getting further north, or moving into spring, or both but the winds seem to be generally slackening), some engine came on.
Fishing activities were unsuccessful again, though at least an improvement on the previous day when the line managed to get entangled in the wind generator.

We anchored in the calm and empty Man Head Bay on Salt Island a bit before 8, with supper including home made chocolate brownies with rum flambé , the 55 percent MarieGalante rum burning well!
As we saw the bay in daylight the next morning, the wrecked jetty was a sure sign of their recent hurricane.
