Victualling has been the main focus, getting menu plans sorted and arranging delivery and stowage of it all . We have got all our dry stuff onboard now and did a mega cook off last night of some chilli and spaghetti Bol dishes which were then vacuum packed and are being deep frozen ashore by the butcher. Fresh stuff is being delivered tomorrow.
I have been getting a bit stressed over our gas situation , needed for cooking. I could write pages and pages over the long hikes, bike rides and taxi rides trying to either get our uk cylinders filled or the right connections to plug in local cylinders. We ended up having to arrange a courier from England to bring out a £20 hose at significant cost, so thanks to Tom D for arranging for Oliver to have 2 days in the sun (actually he seems to have brought English grey skies with him).
The good news is the hose has done the job and we will now be able to cook food!!
The weird photo of Graham is a demonstration of his newly constructed tin crusher in action, while the pile of sweets is the handiwork of James our victualler who will be eating 80% of it! We do have some fruit and veg etc as well .
We have had PCR tests done, passports are already stamped for departure ( after a bit of officialdom over G&J’s as there was no record of them having arrived in Spain!) , race briefing is tomorrow , so all feeling pretty close now. Mom
