We are having a bit of a grim time with the easterly wind which prevents us going where we want.
Close hauled on stbd tack with 2 reefs and winds in mid/high 20s, expecting this to continue for a couple of days before we get some relief........so apologies in advance if blogs are a bit brief!

We did get a bit of sunshine yesterday , even calm seas and were motoring for a few hours. A swallow , or was he a swift ?! , landed on deck, had a swing on the fruit “hammock” and then went to my cabin and slept there overnight. We called him Pieter since he came from S Africa. He flew off this morning in a southerly direction so perhaps he decided to go back there!

Talking of SA , wishing Loulene a safe and successful knee op tomorrow,
