Although many island groups in the South Pacific have ecosystems favoured by sharks, none of us have seen as many sharks as in Turks&Caicos or in the Bahamas.

Florida remains the number one region for number of shark attacks in the world although Australia have more fatal attacks (great white).

In the Bahamas the frequency of attacks have increased the last years for unknown reasons. At the same time more and more sharks are being domesticated fed by sports fishermen as well as a diving industry whose business idea is shark feeding. It has been suggested by some experts that this could be a contributing factor (if not the main reason) . That risks increase when sharks connect humans with food is not a far fetched idea.

Since Homo Sapiens started to walk on planet earth half of all mammals got extinct and loads of animals have been domesticated.
