Still no sat!
Yesterday we had a fantastic trade wind sailing day, boat going fast at 8,
seas low except for the 20ft swell, but they are wide apart. Actually only
noticed how big they were when we were 5 miles off a freighter and it
disappeared off the horizon behind a wave. Who would expect a ship out here
anyway. On AIS (automatic identification system) I saw the boat was 140 ft
wide, so to wide for the Panama canal, poor bugger had to go round Cape
horn.

So how things holding out?
The repair done to the water tank is holding, so lots of fresh water.
The bananas and veg are all ripening at the same time, so wont have fresh
for long.
We have only used engines to charge batteries, so full diesel still
We averaging 7kts so 19 days maybe possible (this is excellent by the way!)
The kids are doing well at school (nothing like boredom to enthuse)
We have caught fish and Vic made cerviche (raw marinated fish in lime) Hope
she enjoyed it
2000 miles to go so under 2 weeks left
Sleep pattern going fine

Only issue is you will probably only read this when we there! Sat phone
still not getting strong enough signal.
