Hi All

Last post mentioned we have arrived in Tenerife, we both have a cold/bug that Meg brought with her so we were both exhausted after the over night. We arrived in Santa Cruz, found the marina, put a movie on for the kids and crashed. That afternoon we went into the capital, had lunch walked around, its very different from Lanza as it is green. When we arrived and till the next morning nobody from the marina was around, so we could not check in. Yesterday lunch time they eventually came round to the boat and asked me to check in. The marina was 27 per night, but they wanted to charge harbour dues of 70, I said that's outrageous and we refuse to pay the harbour dues so they said leave, so we left and paid nothing. It was a horrible run down place so happy to leave anyway. Unfortunately the wind was blowing hard, steep waves and we were running out of day light, so we set off for the South coast. We arrived here at 10PM  a great marina, good price no silly taxes and friendly helpful people. We have checked in for 3 days and rented a car to see the island.
Here are the catch up photos from Megs trip

Cal on the camel ride, think that is more of a grimace than a smile

Yes camel saddles, the in thing apparently. Meg is on with Cal, to balance they needed a really heavy sand bag (can say that now she is not here)

hmmm aahhh "camel toe"

This is the crater we went on the ride in

The resturant cooks all it's food over this hole which has volcanic heat , the floor of the resturant was so hot and it took us a while to work out why our feet were so hot

This is the logo for the national park, guess they were working on the "hot as hell" theme

Meg on the surfers paradise, it was great watching them, big waves and we were really close. This was close to where Lauren went on the athletics school camp.
