Hi All
We have moved off the anchor to a marina for a
night. We were thinking a few days, but at Euro 76 per night, anchoring is
definitely the better option! We had a great time in Cascais, met a lovely
French couple with kids. They spoke a little English, and we were embarrassed we
could not speak French. They had drinks with us one night then the next night we
had dinner together. Pascal was great to chat too, they have a 52ft mono
hull so it was great boat talk for 2 nights. Vicki enjoyed Isabel's company and
they discussed wife boat stuff! It's great meeting other cruisers eventually and
even with the language barrier Cal and Jess had great fun playing with their
kids. They spent about 4 hours catching surgeon fish off the docs. The French
kids taught them how....by putting a crushed muscle in the water then when they
eat, quickly scoop them in the net. They must have caught 30 of the
things.
We off to anchor tomorrow just out of Lisbon and
will explore the city then for a few days before heading south. The weather has
improved dramatically and all is well on board.
Tom and Max, Cal and Jess new friends!
The bread has improved dramatically thanks to

one of the many surgeon fish caught, this one was
subject to an internal examination by Cal, he eventually cut the teeth out and
is saving them for his friends
Cool cursing kids...if only they would always wear
hats and sun glasses.
