Hi All
We have had an eventful few days. As mentioned we
were stuck in a bay for a while waiting for the waves to get small so we could
cross the bar. Eventually we made it across and sailed for Cascais which is not
far out from Lisbon. We had a great sail, flying under drifter doing 10.5 kts at
times, then under the jib doing up to 9kts. As we turned the corner we got the
breeze of the land and it felt like we just climbed into a tumble
drier.
Cascais is a great anchorage, super town and the
Pork and cheese resort. We are meeting more cruising boats now, last night there
were 8 Cats in the anchorage, which is unbelievable. Here are some photo's from
the last week.
Kids doing school work obviously not reading
practice.
This is the exit of the bay, not sure if you can
see the wave breaking right across the bar
We through, looking back at bay
Mom and Jess swimming off boat, not quite warm yet
20 degrees. Cal watching in horror
Instead of swimming Cal made this racing yacht that
can do 140 miles per hour
Ok so we not on a deserted island yet.
Cal and I made a drip castle
A huge sand dune we climbed and ran
down
Jess rolling down
