Hi All
We had a reasonable run today. Yesterday noon to noon was 160 miles and we
hoping today will be a bit better. The seas although still rough are a
little more organized so we not getting too many huge rollers sweeping us
from the side. Spirits are higher as a result as well as now beginning to
see the end.
Vicki has really been superb the whole trip, the meals she has made every
night would put most people to shame in the own kitchens, let alone being
thrown around from the large waves, don't know how she does it. Actually I'm
really not joking, I'm scared if I see how she does it she may ask me to do
it. No the proper place for the skipper is at the helm.
We are loosing positions in the race now as the larger heavier boats and
cats can handle the seas better and the stronger winds have a larger impact
on speed due to their waterline length. Actually Tuaq (my old Sherman tank
of a boat) in these seas would keep up with us because of her sheer weight.
Hope everyone is enjoying the snow back home
