Hi All
We almost there, 1 more sleep. As usual the winds are fickle, so no great
guns.
On a more positive note:
This trip has been awful, you have all followed the problems and
frustrations we have encountered, but we have also had some great times. We
have been doing a lot of soul searching as to what our plans will be for the
next year. A few days ago it was definitely spend the winter in the Carib
and then take the boat back to the UK. Part of this was the rubbish crossing
and part was a fantastic new opportunity presented to me. I have decided to
take the opportunity and will reveal more when I can. if I did now I would
have to shoot you as it's top secret.
The other option was as first planned which is to cross the pacific as far
as Australia and re evaluate there.
I really believe we should still take this plan as if we don't we could
regret it for the rest of our lives. When next would we get the opportunity
to see the South Pacific, all the fabled islands, the Galapagos, and many
areas not accessible in short holidays.
Yes this has been tough, we now have 5 months to recover, rediscover the
enjoyment of traveling and seeing places. We will take 2 weeks in Disney and
enjoy non boat life and all the scars of the last 3 weeks will heal, we will
get our energy and enthusiasm back and continue exploring this
world....albeit slowly.
Vic is not up for discussion yet on this, but I am certain in a few weeks
she will have the same sentiments. Especially if I bash her over the head a
million times saying why this is good (yes Duncan that was to wind you up)
As for the kids, they just happy to be with their parents and will adapt to
whatever is presented, that's the nature of kids.
My new opportunity will also work while we continue our voyage and options
will be a plenty when we have completed what we doing.
