Our arrival to Cartagena, very built up on the one side...
and very built up on the other....this is the old walled town. Notice
the haze, from the intense heat.
A strange place for a statue of the Virgin Mary.
local houses in the old town
Art in the plaza
It is everywhere - but they do make very good Margaritas!!
He loves it really - big bottoms...
fancy photo!
local view again
The family at the old fort - as you can see it is really really hot, and
luckily it was only 9am!!!
Old town cathedral from the Fort
The old Fort. Was used to fight against the likes of Sir Francis
Drake
The group we are cruising with - a mixed bunch, but all such fun.
Cheeky as always
the city from the old fort - searing heat and 98% humidity too -
nice!!!!!
local night time entertainment
Feeding the pigeons in the plaza
Its a strange feeling have a pigeon land on your hand and peck, and peck
your toes too! Not so sure what will happen next!!!
local dress
Cathedral
Arty Farty street wares
Our evening carriage ride of the old town, was wonderful. We bartered
him down to 30000 pesos - £10.
Tried to pick a horse that at least looked like it had eaten that
day. Felt like royalty we did!!!
