Hi all
We now are all fully recovered from our 4 day
passage, spent 3 days 2 nights at anchor north of Lanzarote off the island
of La Graciosa. It was a fantastic anchorage to relax in, 2 beaches in the bay,
warm clear water to snorkel in, weather settled and not too hot. The beaches are
very liberal in attitude as clothes is optional, we had one women (not to shabby
a shape, which is unusual) walking up and down the beach totally naked as if she
were fully dressed, a bit strange, but the kids did not even notice.Me on the
other hand did not even need binocs for a change!
We took the dingy into the tiny town, which was
good to see, Meg suffered from Land sickness and could not wait to get back on
the boat where she felt stable. The kids enjoyed the swiming, Cal is great with
is snorkel and starting to try the scuba gear out. Unfortunately his wet suit
keeps him too boyant, and I'm not quite ready to strap weights on him
yet.
The passgae was ok, just not enough constant wind,
we sailed 50% of the time. We keep catching fish every time we put the line in,
(Andrew eat your heart out) We have not kept any recently as I dont really eat
fish and Vic is not to bothered.
We have rented a car for the next few days to tour
the isalnd, there is the volcano park, caves, camel desert ride etc. We only
have a few days left before Meg flies back to Madrid and home, so going to stay
in the marina and enjoy.
