Hi All
Yes I know it has been a long time since our last blog, but you have not
written to us either. We now have permanent wifi onboard so there are no
excuses.
We on our way down to Sydney, Megan is aboard so we now have 3 watches which
means ample sleep.
We have been waiting for a weather window for the last 10 days. Australia is
having what we have witnessed across the Pacific....unusual weather. The
wind should blow from the NE at this time of year, but the we seeing SE most
of the time. The Eastern Australian current (as in Nemo) sets South and when
you have winds opposite the waves get quite nasty. We left Sunday morning
had head winds and slowly they coming around. We need to be in Sydney for
Xmas and the Winks arrive on the 28th so we were anxious to get a window
down. We hope the wind lasts long enough for us to make it but forecasts not
looking brilliant so may stop in Newcastle.
Otherwise all is good onboard, nice to be sailing again after 6 weeks of
land life.
