Hi all,
Now in Plymouth and i feel as though i have come to the end of a very intense training course!!  the overnight crossing was rather tiring as it was somewhat impromptu.  but probably better that way.  We all seem to be more calm now.  No tides to negotiate.  The channel islands are quite hard to sail, i am told on our return.  So i conquered that!  My friend Lou came to visit for a night, all the way from London on a Friday night, we had a lovely time.  it was wonderful to see her, have girlie chats, go into the centre of yummy Pymouth and go shopping, window of course!  She left Saturday night, and we had our earliest night in about a month.  The kids were in bed asleep by 8pm.  Lets hope this is the beginning of some routine.
We are getting more in tune with the boat, and realising that everything does not have to be done today.  I am actually more calm than most would know me, and am more tired from it!
Planning to move to Falmouth tomorrow, where we will stay until we leave for biscay with Andrew and Lotty.

Just a couple of mentions.......
Stuart - the stools are the best thing ever, the kids can help with the cooking while standing on them, and it extends the cockpit no end,  not to mention the shower.......heaven.
All my friends and family for words of wisdom while living in a confined space with 2 chirpy children!!!
Richard - my kitchen cupboard is sooooo great a space, as are the bookshelves.

Tim has managed to convince me that i can live without 3 corkscrews, 2 spatulas, 8 pairs of shoes, and various other clearly essential items (for me!!)
Well, thats all for now folks.

We took the dingy out into the harbour entrance at Plymouth to watch the start of the Round the British Isles race.  It was all very exciting with lots of racing boats and some catermarans, all beating into a westerly.  This guy was not involved, however, he clearly was trying, spectating like us  He must have been freezing, but had good balance.  He was out there for about an hour!!!

This took all morning.  just biscuits, and a lot of decorating.  Lou, we finally managed it!
