A while since we have written.  We have had tims sister staying, Julie for a week.  We had a lovely week, although a week is never long enough.  Of course managed to squeeze in some rugby games, but also lots of wonderful snorkeling.  We anchored in a place called Manta Ray island.  Aptly named for guess what reason?  No, we still did not see Mantas.  Clearly they are saving themselves up for me sometime.  Never mind, something to look forward to .  The coral was stunning, and so many fish, octopus, reef sharks, a truly beautiful snorkel.
We managed to get Julie to see some local dancing at one of the resorts, although it was more of a tourist thing, it is always fun to see the kids enjoying themselves.  I did also force Julie that she really must link arms with a sweaty native and join the conga!!!  Needless to say - she was not amused.
So now Julie is back in Oz, and we have spent time in the marina doing jobs and watching more rugby, we are now going back up North to the Yasawa group of islands to do more snorkeling and diving.
We have just discovered that while anchored in a bay with a tidal change, we are touching the bottom....woops!!  Will have to wait until the tide comes up.  Clearly we were doing too much schoolwork to have notice.  On that note, we have started a new school year with enthusiasm and concentration.  having had a month break we need to cram as December will not be a month to do a lot and January too, as our good friends the Wincs are coming over, cant wait for that.

Start as we mean to go on.  Home made Pina colada!!
