Leaving Aruba tomorrow for Cartagena in Columbia. This will be a 3 day
passage, so will try to keep all informed of progress via the sat phone
email.
We have had an interesting time here in these ABC islands. Bonaire was
rather quaint. Pretty colored beautiful buildings along the waterfront.
However, the place is only catered to the cruise ships. These beasts carry
3500 passengers, so on a very small island you can imagine how busy it
became during the day of landing!! All Americans. I had my birthday here,
and we had a drinks and nibbles party on our boat. About 12 adults in
total, and lots of music it was lots of fun. We had an Irish guest who was
dressed all in green celebrating the St. Patrick's side of things, so we all
ended up with wigs and things on - as you can imagine. We then visited the
local bar, with a band and dancing. headaches all round the following day!!
We by-passed Curacao, due to lack of good anchoring and at night too, not
safe to search for them. So an overnight sail and we arrived in Aruba. To
be greeted, not with one, not two, not three, but four cruise ships, I bet
you can imagine how busy this place has been!!!!

Sorry comms have been so poor, we have been battling with wifi sat phone etc
