We celebrated covering half way by making chocolate brownies; no mean feat with the boat’s motion as it was. They are delicious! With slightly calmer seas we also took the opportunity to do some washing which has improved conditions below decks considerably. We can now breathe without choking on the fumes.
We also snagged a fish on the hook which caused great excitement for the 30 seconds it stayed there. Our minds ran to freshly seared tuna for tea. As we realised it had broken free when we tried to reel it in, we were glad that we had taken the sausage stew out of the freezer to defrost!
Light winds are forecast for the next few days. We have the gennaker up but may have to resort to the engine over night.
