Last night, once the temperatures dropped at around 10.30pm Vilamoura was heaving, with 10's of 1000s of people, filling every restaurant, bar and the streets. There must be somewhere in the region of 30 - 50 restaurants, all with different specialites or themes. I heard the last of the revellers going to bed at around 7.20am.

The night was hot and airless as the marina is surrounded by tall hotels and appartment blocks.

Helen & Vikki arrived this morning after a very early get up at 4.00am. After a short while looking around Vilamoura we set sail for Faro 17 miles away. With the wind from the South at 15 knots we had a lovely reach at 7.5 - 8.2 knots.

We are now anchored in lagoon off a beach, enoying the breeze.
