10 months after we left  the boat we have returned to Almerimar.

Over the winter we have made several modifications and Island Wanderer now sports air-conditioning, a new bimini and aft deck shade to provide some relief from the Mediterranean heat. It is a cool 28oC in the shade at present and we are already appreciating the canopies. We anticipate remaining here for a day or two to get the boat ship shape before leaving to go further into the med.

We have also installed some solar fairy lights in the cockpit. As these are the equivalent of fluffy dice in a car we have finally put an end to any thoughts that we may be half serious sailors and are now officially on a chav boat.
