The wind began to ease yesterday afternoon, so we raised the gennaker. Last night was “Film Night”, so we were all huddled in the cockpit watching a movie when the wind completely died. The movie was paused and the gennaker was snuffed and stowed before it could wrap itself around the forestay again. Then, on with the engine, and back to the movie.

We are well and truly in an “Azores High”at present. Pressure is 1027.5mb. The forecasts indicate that it will be tomorrow morning until the wind returns. At least it means that the seas are relatively smooth.

Distance to go 630 miles.
