Since the early hours of the day, we had to negotiate strong winds and waves on our nose and in some parts also an adverse current, which resulted in having to motor sail around the first headland of El Salvador. Since 9 am we were able to sail in 20 knots of Southerly winds by tacking (for the non sailors: zig-zagging instead of taking the direct route) along the coast. Suffice to say it has been a bumpy ride and slow progress.
Crew and boat are doing very well sailing close hauled and joyfully jumping dolphins keep our spirits happy.
