Last time we were here in August 2012 (see blog entries), we really enjoyed it. So we looked forward to coming back and had a very relaxing time here, making the best of our anchorage right off the beach and protected by the outer reef.
On our way from Tahiti, we saw dolphins, whales and turtles. Unfortunately the whales were not close enough to take good photos, with the excitement of watching their jumps, the pictures were all out of focus.

Fresh prawns for sale from the farm every Wednesdays! What a treat. Local fresh fruit and veg from the garden, sold on the side of the street and the shop, right by the beach! we are sorted!

PS: This island was used as backdrop of the film “South Pacific” Now that we have been here, we look forward to seeing it again one day.
