Last night we switched the engine off and Kahia was gently gliding through a flat sea at 3 to 4 knots and the night was peaceful.
During the day the waves started to build up announcing the wind to come and now we are sailing in 30 knots of wind in very rough seas from ESE.

We had to reduce the sails to 3 reefs in the main and the small stay sail to slow down our boat speed as we have only 74 nm to Havana pass and don't want to arrive too early as we need day light and the current with us. The night is going to be a challenge, being tossed around by the wild weather.
Glad to say that Kahia feels very strong and safe.
