After a time of weaving through the towers of cumulus and their wind and rain, we are now sailing in a constant 20 knots of Easterly winds. These are the start of the trade winds, which are going to turn NE and possibly getting stronger over the next few days, so we are still getting as much Northing as possible while we can. Sailing at a good speed of 6 to 7 knots, life aboard has become more lively, but well reefed down Kahia is “steady as she goes”.
