7 days at sea now and we had an amazing visit today! A white helicopter from Panama flew straight to us, came very close to us, circled the boat, dropped down to about 15 feet of the wave tops alongside us (less than 50 feet away), producing lots of spray. We were all engaged in waving to each other and giving the thumbs up signal with enthusiasm like long lost friends. They then turned North and flew away into a great big rain cloud! Wow, what a buzz.
In not having seen any other human activity for a week, we were also passed last night by a ship less than a mile on our starboard side.
After very slow sailing through the night with light winds, doing 1-3 knots over the ground, we are now romping along at 7-8 knots, with a nice SE 4-5.
Thanks Rich for wishing us the fresh winds, they have arrived at last!

In 7 days we have covered 935 nm
