After our first impression, that the Pacific is easier than the Atlantic, we have been tossed around by roaring waves coming from two sides. Rough sea and near gale force winds swept over us under groups of big, rainy clouds passing by. We had up to 29 knots of wind and with broken sleep have been a bit more edgy. But Kahia plows through the powerful mass of water and keeps us safe. Still well reefed down, the wind is now 13 to 17 knots and we hope the sea will be calming down for the night ahead.
4 hours ago, we did our 24 hr day run and had only 883 miles to go, which is more likely to be around 855 miles right now.
How inviting the thought, to be soon at anchor again and sleep through the night!
