Hakatea Bay, Nuku Hiva

We found another quiet anchorage with dramatic views on the mountainous land, waterfalls cascading down the cliff face. In Nuku Hiva it rained every day, but never for long and the hot sun quickly dries out the puddles of water. The humidity in the air can sometimes be  pretty high, making it rather uncomfortable, being hot and sticky.
We were able to fill our water tanks with the downpour, which is very handy as there is no drinking water available here.

Now we are getting ship-shape for our 500 miles passage to the Tuamotus, there is always so much to do before heading out for a longer passage.
