Our stay in Niue was great and we would have loved to stay longer but the swell was so uncomfortable that we decided to leave this afternoon and have a couple of better nights at sea, as well as sailing to some quiet anchorages just 250 miles further on. The wind is ESE force 5-6, excellent for a good passage.
Now we are preparing to sail through the timeline. A very strange phenomena to jump a whole day ahead of ourselves. A journey into the future!
Our ETA is Sunday morning, but Tongan Local time will be Monday morning, just like that... a threshold passed, a day gone, which we will never have lived on the calendar! Now we know, time is just an illusion!
