Monika from Opua Marina welcomed us with a goody-bag at the customs dock. She was a great help to get our bearings in the bay of Islands.

                                After customs and Immigration we spend 13 days at Opua Marina, where there was a lot of activity with the All Point Rally organised by the Island Cruising Association.

                                We want to thank John and Lyn Martin, who were excellent hosts and all the trades who offered amazing food, drinks and special events.

                First day in New Zealand: Paul on a mission: off to the Opua General Store to buy two big steaks, fresh veg and a good bottle of red wine!

                A loaf of fresh bread was courtesy of the shop for all overseas arrivals. What a welcome, plus a lovely shopping bag as you can see.
