We were very sad leaving Tahiti on Friday and saying
good bye to our generous and helpful friends Manu, Madeleine, Elvis and their
families. They made our experience of this island a very rich one. We can
confirm that the Tahitians certainly know how to feast and be perfect hosts,
we had some memorable dinners together and were showered with generosity,
we will never forget! (Photos will follow!)
Having done lots of maintenance, repairs and stock up in
Papeete, we have now anchored inside the reef in the protected lagoon at the
entrance of Cook Bay and enjoying a beach holiday with lots of snorkeling and
look forward to exploring more of the island, which was used as the
backdrop of the film "South Pacific" so influential to Paul's dream to come
here.
