Today we spread our wings! After 9 days of broad reach sailing, we are now running down-wind with the sails goosed winged and are managing to hold a steady course to Hiva Oa, sailing in a comfortable motion at around about 7 knots.
As we are running backwards down the time line we have set the "Local Time Clock" back another hour, while carrying all our navigation and Log-book on the "UTC Time Clock" which at the moment is 7 hours ahead. So we are constantly weaving in and out of the time of the day... having Lunch for example while entering our 24 hour position at 21.20. Or when looking at the radio in the afternoon, it gives us the next morning date still ahead of our own sunset.
Can be a bit confusing when you are feeling tired and when part of our minds are under the spell of the adventures of Harry Potter! (Still listening to it on our consecutive watches! Excellent!!!)
