In the first 48 hours we covered 315 nm and are very excited about the favorable winds. After 7 hours motoring last night we have been sailing again all day since the early hours of the day.
The Pacific swell is much more comfortable than the Atlantic swell and we are enjoying our trip so far.
Today we caught two black-finned tuna and will have a little feast celebrating the beginning of of our Pacific voyage.
We saw a large turtle very close to Kahia feeding on jelly fish but did not manage to grab the camera in time. Well there will be plenty of opportunities.

Every morning we are checking in on the Pan Pacific Net (8143 kHz) to give our position and check in with other sailors on the same route. It is a good way of getting information and hearing how the others are doing. We miss the Magellan Net and familiar boats who crossed the Atlantic with us and hope to see some again soon.
