We stayed too long in Panama City, but it was worthwhile as we had our wind instrument replaced by Raymarine. Excellent service!

After a change of policy for the dinghy dock at La Playita and being told by the manager Carmen Garcia de Parese, that sailors are dirty and only trouble, we turned our back to La Playita.

We went back to Flamenco Marina, with far friendlier staff, filled up with fresh water, bought petrol for the dinghy and then motored to Las Brisas for a quieter anchorage, where the work up the mast was safer and the not yet finished dinghy dock was free. We also managed to pick up a WiFi on board and made a few phone calls on Skype.

Panama bay is very dirty so swimming and making water was not an option.

The dust and dirt from the city and anchored ships covered Kahia and we were glad when we had well stocked up for our longest passage ahead and could leave the city behind us.
