Last night was very black with a lot of rain, so we spend the majority of our watches down below listening to the mainsail flapping and banging in the light wind. At dawn we took the 2nd head sail out of the bag and poled it out. All day we are goosed winged in very light winds moving forward gently at a pace of 3 kts SOG, steering at 290 degrees to Antigua, 726 NM to go. The rocking from side to side is quite soothing.
It is a very hot dry day with clear blue sky and a bright sun.

Around noon, Paul was just shaving, a fish was on the line. To get the fish out of the water is a four handed job, as our reel is too small for the kind of fish we are getting out here. Well it was well worth our effort. We caught a large Dorado, able to feed 10 people easily!
The photos look funny, with Paul still having shaving foam on half his face.
Now we are well stocked up, with fresh fish steaks in the freezer compartment of the fridge and a large portion for tonight which we will have with roasted butternut squash, sweet potatoes and our last bit of fresh green cabbage.

Thank you Andria for your text, we are getting not that many messages but there is always one or two coming through each day, which is a true delight. We wish you a lovely time under the Christmas tree and a very happy birthday to Morgan!

Life out on the large is so much more enjoyable than we dreamed off. After days of sailing we feel more at ease with everything and are so grateful to be able to feed ourselves from the sea, make fresh water and have a very comfortable life, at one with nature and closer to our true selves.
