The sea has moderated and the swell is more gentle with still a constant Force 5 and gusts of 6  (average 20 kts of wind) giving Kahia an excellent speed and very little rolling. The hydrovane is steering the boat constantly with just the power of the wind since we left Mindelo. Fantastic invention.
We are getting into a good routine and feel more rested than the first day.
Unfortunately our fridge is still playing up and has defrosted itself over night and our large chicken breasts and 4 tuna steaks have defrosted, so we have to be creative with pre-cooking and preserving as best as possible before living from tinned and dried foods...
Last night we counted about 14 flying fish on deck and the cockpit, so at one point in the near future Paul will try flying fish for breakfast.
