We arrived here Wed 30th Nov. 17.00 UTC

Had a lively sail, North of the islands, as between the Island of Sao Vicente and Sao Antonio is a wind funnel going up to gale force winds.

The anchorage is very windy but with good holding.

We also stayed two days in the marina to sort out a few problems with the windlass, fridge and Whitlock steering, which was not too successful. We topped up the Batteries and water tanks.

Catherine managed to get the SSB on receiving frequencies, so at last we can listen into the Magellan Net, giving daily updates of the boats en route. We are leaving today and so do Egret and May Anne II, which is quite nice.

Still a lot to do to get shipshape. Mindelo was tiring, due to the wind, the work and the walking around to get things sorted in the heat. We have at last been able to fill our gas bottles at the local Enaco Plant. We can now bake more bread and cook without restraint for the next few months. What a relieve.

More photos will follow, when we are in the Caribbean, as Internet has been rather slow.
